The closest town to the complex is Kapaa, a small town of about 10,000 that nevertheless has a wide selection of restaurants, plus shopping for everything a vacationer could need. It is also very close to Nounou Mountain, which has two hiking trails to choose from.
On the south shore of Kauai is the Koloa Mill Town and sugar plantation. Also on the south shore is a one-mile tunnel of eucalyptus trees, and the fantastic Poipu Beach Resort. The west side of the island is more laid back and slow paced, with plenty of hiking, camping, fishing, and bird watching opportunities. If it’s waterfalls you want, the eastern coast has Opaekaa Falls and Wailua Falls, two stunning waterfalls.

Tropical fans help the ocean breeze cool the unit, and there is also partial air conditioning. The fully equipped kitchen and washer-dryer combo make the unit relaxing and convenient.
