the eastern coast of the island of Kauai is a condominium complex called Wailua
Bay View. It offers vacation rentals in beautiful surroundings. Every unit has
an ocean view and the rental rates are competitive with other Kauai options.
Wailua Bay View is close to the town of Kapaa, a town of around 10,000 that has
plenty of shopping and restaurants. Kapaa is also close to the lower Wailua
River, the only river on Kauai that is navigable by boats larger than canoes.
Locals and visitors enjoy this river for kayaking, water skiing, and boat tours
to the scenic Fern Grotto – a popular place for weddings on Kauai. The river
also features a pool with a rope swing, the Halokila Village, and a bird refuge.
For a family friendly place by the sea, Lydgate Beach Park is a great choice. It
is only about a mile south of Wailua Bay Village. It has two pools enclosed by
boulders that keep the strong waves out, plus lifeguards, restrooms, showers,
picnic facilities, and a playground.
For snorkelers, Kee Beach on the northern shore of Kauai has clear turquoise
water that is perfect for snorkeling, and Poipu Beach Resort on the southern
shore is another great place for snorkeling and diving.
From the lanai of Wailua Bay View #307, a vista of sea, beach, mountains and palm trees greet the visitor. For the
astute observer, turtles can often be seen playing in the surf, whales spouting during their annual migration, and sea birds flying by on the tropical Hawaiian trade winds.
Wailua Bay View #307 is suitable for up to four guests and has one bedroom, one
bathroom, and a sofa that folds out. The kitchen includes a microwave,
refrigerator, toaster, and coffee maker. Fresh linens and towels are provided,
as is a combo washer-dryer machine. Guests have access to the complex’s pool
and barbecue area, and unit #307 has a furnished private lanai that is the
perfect place to relax and enjoy the sounds and sight of the ocean. Wailua Bay
View makes the perfect “home base” for memorable Kauai adventures.
