The Wailua River is the only river on Kauai that is navigable by boats larger than canoes, and it is convenient to Wailua Bay View. The lower Wailua River is a popular place for locals and visitors to enjoy canoeing, kayaking, fishing, and water skiing. Boat rides up the river take guests to the beautiful Fern Grotto, a lovely natural grotto that is a popular venue for Kauai weddings.
The island of Kauai is compact enough that its innumerable natural wonders and recreational activities are all within comfortable “day trip” distance. Waterfall lovers will enjoy Wailua Falls, Opaekaa Falls, and Kipu Falls. Kipu Falls is a small enough waterfall that people jump off it into the natural pool located 15 feet below. There is also a ladder leading to the pool for non-jumpers.
Wailua Bay View #309 has its own private lanai from which to enjoy the ocean view. The unit accommodates up to four guests. It has a bedroom, bathroom, and a sleeper sofa. The kitchen is fully equipped, and there is also a washer-dryer combo machine. Clean linens and towels are provided, and there is an electronic entertainment center for the rare rainy day.
